Vivo's X300 Series May Introduce a Groundbreaking Video Feature

Mobile Technology

It looks like Vivo might be about to raise the bar in the smartphone video game. A Vivo executive has confirmed that their next X300 series is going to feature 4K/60fps cinematic portrait video. If this turns out to be true, it would be a first for both Android and Apple devices.

I've always felt that iPhones have been the kings of video recording on phones. However, Android phones have been catching up, adding cool features like 4K/120fps recording and super steady mode. If Vivo pulls this off, it will be a significant win for Android.

Currently, even the latest iPhones and Vivo's top-tier phones can only do 4K/30fps portrait video. Bumping that up to 60fps could really make a difference in video quality. Faster frame rates usually mean smoother, more detailed video.

I'm excited about this potential upgrade, but I hope that Vivo has taken care of other issues. When I reviewed the Vivo X200 Ultra, I noticed some strange flickering in portrait videos, especially in mixed lighting. It's crucial they fix that for the X300.

Besides the video advancements, the X300 series also promises some camera upgrades. The standard X300 will supposedly have a massive 200MP main camera, and the Pro version might get an improved 200MP telephoto lens. Plus, the standard X300 is rumored to have a similar compact design to the X200 Pro Mini.

If these rumors hold true, Vivo could really shake things up in the smartphone market. It will be interesting to see how Apple responds. I am very excited for the next releases!
