It seems like Qualcomm is gearing up to launch its new Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip, and the buzz is building up! I've been following the leaks and teasers, and it's pretty clear that this new chip is aimed at those who want great performance but don't necessarily need the absolute top-tier power of the 8 Elite Gen 5.

According to official announcements, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 is set to be unveiled on November 26th in China. What's even more interesting is that the OnePlus Ace 6T is slated to be the first phone in the world to feature this new chip.

OnePlus hasn't given us an exact launch date for the Ace 6T yet, but they've hinted that it'll be sometime this month in China. Considering the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5's launch date, I'd bet that the Ace 6T will be revealed around the same time, maybe even a day or two after, but definitely before December rolls around.

From what I've gathered, the OnePlus Ace 6T is expected to boast some impressive specs. We're talking about a super smooth 165Hz refresh rate display and blazing-fast 100W SuperVOOC fast charging. Those are features that I personally look for in a new phone, so it's definitely catching my eye.

If you're curious about the colors, I've seen reports that the Ace 6T will come in colors similar to those expected for the iPhone 17: Black, Purple, and Green. That sounds like a stylish lineup to me!

A Possible Rebrand?

Now, here's where things get a little more interesting. There's been speculation that the OnePlus Ace 6T might be rebranded as the OnePlus 15R in international markets. It looks like this is indeed the case. System files seem to confirm this.

OnePlus has also been teasing the OnePlus 15R in some regions, and I noticed something peculiar in the teasers: a circular LED flash on the side of the camera module. That's a different design than the current OnePlus Ace 6, which further suggests that the 15R isn't just a rehash of the Ace 6.

So, when can we expect the OnePlus 15R to hit the global market? Well, based on some information from OnePlus's subscription campaign, it seems like December 17th is the most likely date. I'm eager to see what the OnePlus Ace 6T has to offer in China. It'll give us a good idea of what to expect from the OnePlus 15R when it eventually launches globally.
