I've been keeping a close eye on Samsung's One UI 8 rollout, and it's been interesting to watch how they're handling it. It feels like just yesterday the Galaxy S25 series was getting the update, and now it's spreading to tablets.

What's particularly noteworthy is that the Galaxy Tab S10 Plus is now getting its taste of One UI 8. According to reports, the update is currently hitting devices in Korea. I'm expecting a global rollout to start soon, if Samsung's update delivery trends are anything to go by. It's reasonable to expect most Tab S10 Plus users will have it before the end of the week. When it comes to software updates, it's always a game of patience.

While the Tab S10 Plus is the first of the older tablets to get One UI 8, it's not the first tablet *running* it. Remember the Galaxy Tab S11 and S11 Ultra? They were the first to showcase the new interface. The S11 models brought that reformed DeX experience, allowing you to use an external display as a true second screen instead of mirroring. Whether or not the Tab S10 Plus will get the same DeX functionality remains to be seen – the initial reports don't mention it. Let's wait for the global rollout to know for sure.

Looking ahead, Samsung is already working on One UI 8.5. The new Galaxy S26 series is expected to launch alongside it. From what I'm hearing, the update will include design changes and customization options. It seems Samsung wants to stay ahead of the curve.
