Samsung's One UI 8: Seventh Beta Arrives with Final Bug Fixes
It seems Samsung is really putting in the work to ensure a smooth launch for One UI 8! While we're all waiting for the stable version to land, especially on the Galaxy S25 series, they've just dropped a seventh beta update. I know, it sounds like a lot, but it shows they're committed to getting it right.
This latest update, clocking in at around 603MB, is all about fixing those pesky little bugs. We're talking about things like font issues, weirdness with the lock screen clock, and other clock-related glitches. Nothing major, but the kind of stuff that can be really annoying in daily use. As spotted by Tarun Vats, it's currently rolling out in places like Germany, the UK, the US, India, and South Korea.
Given that this beta focuses on such specific fixes, it certainly feels like the final touches before the big release. However, Samsung hasn't officially confirmed if this is the last beta. I wouldn't be surprised if it is, but you never know – they might find something else to tweak!
While the Galaxy S25 is getting all the attention right now, let's not forget that Samsung has also launched One UI 8 beta programs for a bunch of other devices, including the Galaxy S24, S23, Z Fold 6, Fold 5, Flip 6, Flip 5, and even some Galaxy A Series phones. These devices will also receive the update, but might not get it as soon as the S25 series. On the other hand, other models already come with the stable version, like the Z Fold 7, Flip 7, the new Tab S11 series and even the S25 FE. I think that's a good strategy.
It is great to see Samsung being so thorough with these beta tests. It means we should get a polished and reliable software experience once One UI 8 finally arrives.
