Pixel phones get a silent update: Native call recording arrives!
So, Google's been tinkering again, and this time it involves something pretty fundamental: how we make phone calls on our Pixel devices. I was poking around in the Phone app the other day – you know, the one that's supposed to make actually phoning people a breeze? – and I stumbled upon a new 'Call Recording' option. Seems like Google quietly slipped it in there.
It's funny how these things happen, isn't it? No big announcement, no fanfare. Just a subtle update that could actually change how a lot of us use our phones, especially those of us who need to keep records of important conversations. Think about journalists, lawyers, or even just folks trying to keep track of agreements made over the phone. It's a handy feature, no doubt.
Of course, the big question is whether the otherside on the line will know that you are recording them. The last thing you want to happen is to get yourself into legal issues because you didn't disclose that you were recording the conversation.
This feature will probably make some of us feel a bit safer, knowing we have a record of important chats.
