Pixel 10: New Camera, but Compromises on Key Features?

Mobile

The Pixel 10 is generating buzz, but not all of it is positive. While a triple camera setup sounds fantastic, it seems Google might be making some compromises to get there. I mean, who doesn't love a great camera on their phone? But what if it comes at a cost?

Possible Feature Omissions

Reports suggest the base model Pixel 10 could be missing some features we'd expect in a flagship phone. It seems Google might skip the vapor chamber, which helps with heat management and performance. If this turns out to be true, it might be a concern for those who push their phones to the limit with gaming or demanding apps. Also, unlike the Pixel 9, the base Pixel 10 may lack Wi-Fi 7 support.

It also appears some cool features might be exclusive to the higher-end models. One example is the improved video stabilization, which was initially rumored to be available across the entire Pixel 10 series. Sadly, the base model might not get it. Finally, the "Ultra Res Zoom" feature, an upgraded version of Super Res Zoom, may not be present in the standard Pixel 10.

Despite these potential downsides, the Pixel 10 is expected to have matte sides and a glossy back. Only time will tell if these changes will impact the overall user experience in a meaningful way. We should get a better idea around the rumored August 20 launch date.
