OnePlus Launches Ace 5 Gaming Phones
OnePlus has recently launched two new additions to its Ace 5 series: the Ace 5 Ultra Edition and the Ace 5 Racing Edition. These devices are explicitly targeted at mobile gamers, boasting powerful specifications and a focus on enhanced gaming experiences.
Powering the Gaming Experience
Both phones leverage a unique "Esports Triple-Chip" system. This comprises the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 Plus chipset, coupled with the Lingxi touch-control chip and a dedicated G1 Wi-Fi chip, designed to optimize gaming performance. This hardware configuration promises a significant improvement in responsiveness and connectivity.
Ace 5 Ultra: Flagship Features
The Ace 5 Ultra Edition features a stunning 6.83-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Multiple memory configurations are available, ranging from 12GB to 16GB of RAM paired with 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the 50MP primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an 8MP ultrawide lens. Powering this device is a substantial 6,700mAh battery supporting 100W wired fast charging. The phone runs on Android 13 with ColorOS 15 and includes an IP65 rating for water and dust resistance.
Ace 5 Racing: Enhanced Battery Life
The Ace 5 Racing Edition shares many similarities with its Ultra counterpart but differentiates itself with an even larger 7,100mAh battery and 80W fast charging. While featuring a slightly smaller 6.77-inch AMOLED display, it maintains a 120Hz refresh rate. This model also incorporates AI-powered features such as 4K video upscaling and object removal in photos.
Market Availability
Currently, both the OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra and Ace 5 Racing Editions are exclusively available in the Chinese market. There has been no official announcement regarding a global release.
