Apple's New Detroit Store: Grand Opening Aligned with iPhone 17 Launch
So, Apple's setting up shop in downtown Detroit, and it looks like they're making a big splash. Word on the street is that the grand opening of the new Apple Downtown Detroit store is scheduled for September 19th. But here's the kicker, this is the SAME DAY the iPhone 17 and iPhone Air are supposed to launch. Talk about timing!
It feels like Apple is trying to create a whole event around this launch, which seems like a cool idea. Launching a store and new products on the same day is quite the move, and I think it can add to the buzz of both occasions.
To mark the opening, Apple released a special wallpaper featuring a chrome "D" logo. It's a small detail, but I guess it adds a local touch. They've also curated a Detroit-themed collection of content across their various apps. It's pretty cool when you see a big company like Apple pay homage to the local culture.

The store itself is located right on Woodward Avenue. I think this new location will be a great addition to the city.
