Apple Watch Ultra 3: Bigger Screen and Enhanced Display Expected
I'm genuinely excited about the buzz surrounding the upcoming Apple Watch Ultra 3. It sounds like Apple is focusing on meaningful improvements, particularly in the display technology.
The rumored larger display, achieved by trimming those pesky bezels, is a welcome change. Let's face it; the bigger the screen, the easier it is to read notifications and interact with apps, especially when you're out and about. The jump to an LPTO3 OLED display, similar to what we saw in the Series 10, is another significant upgrade. A faster refresh rate in always-on mode? Yes, please! That continuously ticking seconds hand is something I've personally been wanting to see on the Ultra.
If the Ultra 3 inherits the wide-angle OLED technology from the Series 10, that's a game-changer. Imagine glancing at your watch from an angle and still seeing everything clearly. It makes you wonder why it took them so long. However, I am aware that hardware development has a lot of steps.
And while new features are always nice, I hope Apple continues to prioritize the ruggedness and durability that made the original Ultra so appealing. I mean, it's designed for adventure, right? Satellite messaging and 5G connectivity would be amazing additions, making it a truly go-anywhere, do-anything device.
While a black titanium case option was introduced last year, a real hardware upgrade will make it a must-have for adventurers. Let's see what is unveiled today!
