Android 16 Beta 4 Arriving Tomorrow for Pixel Devices

Mobile Technology

Just over a month after releasing Android 16 Beta 3, Google is preparing to launch Android 16 Beta 4 tomorrow, April 17. This announcement, made via X, signals further progress in the development cycle.

Since Beta 3, Google has been actively releasing point updates, including Beta 3.1 and Beta 3.2. The Android 16 Beta program has also expanded to include non-Pixel phones, with OnePlus and Xiaomi initiating their testing programs. Now, Pixel phones will take the lead again with the upcoming Beta 4 release.

Currently, details are scarce, and anticipation is building as users await the new build. Google will initially release OTA and factory images for Pixel phones. While adventurous users can opt for manual installation, most testers will likely await the OTA update notification for a smoother experience.

With the platform now in the Platform Stability phase, the official stable release of Android 16 is expected soon.
